Veronica manages to find Koontz's daughter, Amelia DeLongpre, before Clarence Wiedman does and stashes her in a hotel. However, because Veronica lied to her about her father's illness, Wiedman is able to convince her to leave without giving Veronica the proof that the Kanes paid her off. Bummer. Meanwhile, it's midterms and a harassed 09er begs Veronica to find out who's harassing her. She does and it turns out to be a nice (but poor) student's father. Double bummer. And to top it all off, Veronica learns of evidence that suggests Duncan killed Lilly Kane. Triple bummer.
